Course Overview
Courses and Modules
ASPA's primary interest in training students is to be able to fulfil the vocational roles illustrated on the chart below. To be able to do this, ASPA conducts training in two areas (at the present time) with the intention of developing additional scope (at a later time) to be able to satisfy the additional roles. The two areas are first aid and instructor development. Best practice training in an alpine environment requires specialist application of coaching, adaptation of training techniques to the outdoor learning environment, and modification of learning techniques for demonstration of work skills in hostile physical environments.
